| 2009 January 6, 2009 We have now been in our house for about 6 months and of all the various features and appliances, by far the best thing we did was to get the water purification system. It is so nice to have really clean glasses with NO RESIDUE! Paige was somewhat skeptical with the purchase but now, I am not sure we can do without one. We notice the taste of water in other homes and businesses and truly appreciate what we have. I just wanted to let you know that things are going smoothly with the system, we love it and ABSOLUTELY glad we went with it. Thanks again for all of your help and if you ever need a reference, just give them my name. Ritchey Simpson 2008 July 12, 2008 I researched water treatment systems for several years, particularly concerned about chlorine and pollutants in my drinking water. But I finally found the right one - ECOsmarte! This system meets all of my criteria; "point-of-entry" for the entire house; zero chlorine while still delivering beneficial minerals; zero maintenance; enhancing the taste of tap water for drinking and cooking. A bonus is no more lugging home 6 gallons per week of bottled water! I am truly free! Thank you ECOsmarte! Doris Stephan 2007 July 5, 2007 We are thrilled with our ECOsmarte Point of Entry Water System. So far the system has worked flawlessly. The water that is coming into our home is the best quality we have ever tasted, including bottled water. Given the poor quality of the water provided by the municipal water authority this is an amazing accomplishment. The water not only tastes great but feels and smells great and does not leave a ring around our toilet bowls. It is a great comfort to know that we are drinking and bathing in healthy water. Thanks for a great product Sincerely, Gary BoylanPort Charlotte, Florida 2006 December 29, 2006 Dear ECOsmarte, There is nothing quite as important as having clean pure water. Water you can trust and rely upon to ensure the health and needs of your family is what you get with the ECOsmarte system. The ECOsmarte system utilizes the modern engineering technology necessary to achieve all these needs. Mark H. de Rutte February 23, 2006 Dear ECOsmarte, We have had your whole-house water filtration system for 1 1/2 months. The water tastes excellent, our skin and hair feel soft and super clean, our laundry smells better than has in years. In addition, we love being able to drink from all sinks! We are now purchasing your Spa Water Treatment technology for our Swim Spa currently in construction. We had the water tested from National Testing Laboratories and test results were excellent. Thank you! 2004 August 12, 2004 Dear Sirs: I have just moved into our newly built home. Mark Murphy and Pete Garlinger of ECOsmarte West installed a light commercial ECOsmarte water filter prior to our move. We have only been in the house for one week, but we are already delighted with our water. We don't drink soft drinks in our household. Instead we drink plenty of water and we love the taste of our treated water. We are also saving substantial money on the bottled water that we used to buy. In addition, our showers and baths are great, with no chlorine smell and a nice soft feel to the water, but no sliminess. Thanks for producing a great product. Yours truly, Robert J. Starkman Los Angeles, CA
July 25,2004 Dear ECOsmarte: I live mainly in NY - on Long Island. We have very good-tasting and soft water due to ECOsmarte system installed. Several years ago we started spending more time here and we loved it except for the hard, chlorinated water. It was like brushing your teeth in a swimming pool. Thanks to Pete and Mark at ECOsmarte Santa Monica everything here is wonderful. Sincerely Nancy Grigerich Long Island, NY May 7, 2004 ORCHARD PRAIRIE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO 123 7626 N Orchard Prairie Road Spokane, WA 99217 On behalf of this school district I want to express our sincere thanks for the time and effort you put forth in resolving a problem that had defied solution for more than 20 years. Against all odds, you proved that there was an American made system that could reduce the nitrate levels in our drinking water to a safe level for patrons of all ages. Throughout the years out drinking water contained nitrate levels which ranged from about 24.0 mg/l to as high as 37.0 mg/l, levels which far exceeded the standard established for pregnant women and infants. These readings required that we do quarterly testing and that bottled water be provided for our staff and students. During the summer of 2003 you advised that for less than $600.00 you could provide a unit made by ECOsmarte which would be guaranteed to reduce these levels below the trigger of 10.0 mg/l. Although we encountered numerous problems/changes in this unit before installation was completed during the last days of December 2003, the unit did, and is, working as promised. My records of test results, both before and after installation, are as follows: DATE OF TEST RESULTS 11-6-03 27.4 11-13-03 28.7 12-23-03 26.8 01-08-04 4.3 01-22-04 4.5 03-11-04 4.5 05-04-04 4.3 It must be stated that the unit did not perform as promised on the initial start-up but we determined that the hardness of our water was more than 50% greater that the unit was designed for. The installation of the brine tank solved this problem and a resin back-wash cycle was set for three days, resulting in the 01-08-04 reading of 4.3 mg/l. I quickly determined that our salt consumption was excessive and we agreed that I would change the cycle to six days and the 05-04-04 reading was only 4.3 mg/l. This unit has been observed by Virginia (Ginny) Darrel, PE, Regional Engineer for the Division of Drinking Water for the Washington State Department of Health, Spokane Region. Ginny seemed to be very impressed with the unit and did her own testing with the results being 2.1 mg/l just after the Spokane Regional Health District reading of 4.2 mg/l. We are now in the process of stabilizing our free chlorine levels and when this is complete we will cancel our bottled water contract. This cancellation will result in a pay-back of less than 4 years for this unit. Again, thank you for the time and effort you spent on our problems and our unit is always available to you for inspection by any future customers experiencing a nitrate problem. Sincerely, Robert E McMillian Assistant Superintendent February 19, 2004 Larry, I thank you for your offer to replace the spent plate sets in the (3) Ecosmarte systems we use. In consideration for this we are providing a few pictures of our facility and water exhibits for your web site. Also I have included a few short lines about my experience to date with the Ecosmarte system as compared to my past experience with Baquasil and chlorine treatment systems. I have attached several pictures for your selection. The Boot Conveyor picture shows three water exhibits that utilize the same water source. The Ecosmarte system for this water source is housed beneath the Water Tower that is visible in the upper left of the picture. I did not include a picture of this Eco system. The CC Building picture is an outside look at the multimillion dollar Clay Center Complex, home to the Avampato Discover Museum, and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. The Water Fall picture shows the Ecosmarte system that handles our indoor laminar water fall. The squiggly lines down the right side of the picture are actually part of the waterfall itself. The TriLam Arch picture shows two additional laminar water flow exhibits. The one on the left is jumping streams controlled by visitors pressing buttons on an interface panel. The right side of the picture shows the continuous streams which support spinning balls that visitors place in the stream. The center of the picture is the door to the water control area shown in the last picture, TriLamArch ECOsmarte. This shows the ECOsmarte system supporting these two water exhibits. Thanks again Larry. Let me know if the pictures and paragraphs are satisfactory or if you had something else in mind. My name is Rod Copen and I am a technician for the Avampato Discovery Museum in Charleston West Virginia. We are part of the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences. I am responsible for a host of interactive exhibits, including computer based audio visual exhibits, animatronics, light optics and several water based exhibits. These were all part of an installation performed by COSI Studio. For the water exhibits COSI chose to use ECOsmarte treatment systems in conjunction with cartridge filtration. While my water treatment background is somewhat limited, I have had some experience with both chlorine based and Baquasil based water treatment systems. Based on that experience I find the Ecosmarte system, using copper ion generation, much easier to use. As a matter of fact, I consider it an almost “set it and forget it” kind of system. And although I have only been using it for about a year, I believe it will prove to be far less expensive than the other systems I am familiar with. | 2003 To whom it may concern We are so pleased with out ECOsmarte Point of Entry system, we previously had a system which required salt pellets and monthly maintenance. This system gives us great water at every faucet in the house. No scale or build up on appliances or showers. It leaves your skin feeing wonderful and the shine in my hair is amazing. As a Healthcare professional, in the dialysis industry and being familiar with RO water I am impressed with the performance of this system. I tell all my neighbors about it and will have one in any house I am in from now on. My husband is so pleased with the way it leaves no spots on the cars. Sincerely, |
| May, 2003 Dear John, I wanted to personally thank you for the information provided regarding your water treatment system. After our initial meeting, I was definitely convinced that your system provided exactly what I was looking for. Your knowledge and background was impressive and weighed heavily in my final decision to go with your product. It has been over six months since you installed your water treatment system in my home. I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am with the system. From day one there was a significant difference in the taste of the water. I never thought my water tasted that badly until your system was installed. Now, when I go to my neighbors, I find it difficult to drink their water!! When I was looking for a water treatment system my major concerns were: (1) I wanted a system that did NOT use salt; and (2) I wanted a system where the water was not “slimy.” Your system gave me both of those items. Also, once I moved to Pullman, there was a definite water spotting problem on the glasses and dishes. Alas, that is gone, too! And, bonus of bonus, the toilet bowl and sinks stay clean!! Frankly, I cannot say enough good things about ECOsmarte. I would be happy to recommend your water system to anyone who is looking for a water system that works and is hassle-free. Barbara A. | February, 2003 This is my third ECOsmarte system, so it should be obvious that I am pleased with what it does. The first was at my Dad’s house, the second at my current home and the third is at a new home just being finished. We have municipal water system that includes lots of calcium and iron at no extra charge. The ECOsmarte system greatly improves the taste and when combined with a water softener, provides really good water that leaves dishes and glassware sparkling. In addition, our sinks, showers and tubs stay clean for quite a long time. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, John and Estelle Clary |
| 2002 POE and POOL Dear ECOsmarte, I want to thank you for inventing such a great product. We recently moved to Arizona only to discover that the water here is loaded with chlorine and a highly toxic substance to which I'm highly sensitive. We also discovered that the amount of calcium in the water causes white scaling on every dish , glass, sink, shower and toilet. Since we had your system installed, I can actually do laundry that smells clean as opposed to smelling like I just dumped it in a swimming pool. I sleep on sheets that not make me coffee for 3 days plus we don't have a white film on everything in the kitchen and bathroom. I can't even express what a difference your product has made. Thank you ECOsmarte, Adrienne Ramirez |

April 17th, 2002Dear Sir,I want to tell you how much I like the ECOsmarte system. I had no trouble installing the unit my self, took only 2 hours. When I got all the untreated water out of all the pipes and water heater, the water tasted like the well water I had in Ohio - just good clean fresh water. After a month of service I had a party and had twenty people to come and sample some fine tasting clean water. I love the water now, couldn't drink it before. The coffee is now so good that I drink it all day long. Couldn't stand it before, this is the finest improvement to my house - Thank you so much. Harmon C. Hunt |
2002Ecosmarte: We recently purchased a winter residence in Scottsdale, Arizona and will be spending five months a year here. We have a residence in Edina Minnesota and had a Reverse Osmoses system installed there by ECOsmarte. We found the water in Scottsdale very heavy with a chlorine smell and taste. I was working household projects with my hands and after a week, had irritated and chopped skin from what appeared to be chlorine burns. We have had the ECOsmarte Point of Entry system installed now for 2 weeks and the conditioned water is superior to the pre conditioned water. It tastes better and my hands have cleared up completely. The only therapy that changed on my hands was washing and bathing with household water from the ECOsmarte Point of Entry system. H.A. Engelbrecht |
I don't just enjoy my ECOsmarte water; I love it. I can't believe how much better everything at our home is. I was spending $60.00 a month on Downey alone, just to try and hide the sulfur smell. Starting August 9th, we had to really watch how much laundry soap to use because on August 10th (my 44th birthday) my daughter, Adrian and I had a "luey" moment with the washing machine. I put the usual amount of liquid laundry soap in the washer and we found the lid up on the washer from the soap suds pushing it up. There were bubbles all over the utility room. It was a joy to clean that up; no more hard water, no more sulfur smells and no more lime deposits and I use our Whirlpool tub almost everyday now. Needless to say; we don't use very much soap anymore on anything. I wouldn't take $10,000.00 for our ECOsmarte water system.
P.S. I don't know what I would do without Andy and Lorna Williams from Pure Water Exchange. Andy has been away from his business a lot because I am such a hard sell, and I had so many questions. Lorna has been patient and stayed at the office working while Andy was at our house setting backwash times and explaining things to me. He researched for many hours for several weeks to find the right water system for us. I trusted Andy because Pure Water is so important to him, and he knows water. Once he found the right system for us, he talked me through it, he was very knowledgeable, patient and professional. He had to go over most things several times with me but now I understand more about pure water and ECOsmarte water systems than I ever thought I would.
Thanks again,

I wanted to write and let you know how much we are enjoying our clean water. It is nice not to have the chlorine smell as well as the difference it makes on our hair and skin. My ecgema (sic) on my leg and neck cleared up the 1st month of using pure water. Both of my daughters like the feel of their hair now also.
Cleaning is easier. Dirt and water spots do not build up in the tub and showers and this makes cleaning faster.
We enjoy being able to drink the water straight from the tap now. Even though our "city" water was supposedly safe, you could see things floating in it.
Thank you,

We really enjoy the lack of sodium and/or potassium that normally is found in most water softeners, and the ease and lack of concern with the back wash waste water is terrific. I'm sure we will be much healthier in the long run for having this new, state of the art system.
Respectfully,

Our water is now sparkling, tastes great and smells good. Plus, we don't have to scrub our toilets, showers and sinks every day for them to look acceptable.

However, now that I have re-installed my water softener, I have much better water than I ever had before. It tastes great, rinses clean and the clothes are clean again. In addition, there is no more build up of iron and other deposits on the sinks, toilets and showers. I would compare the taste of my water now to the best bottled water.
This is a great product to supplement and help protect a water softener and probably could be used without a softener in areas where the water quality is much better.

Factory Note: When grains of hardness exceed 30, it may be necessary to run a softener on the hot line only reducing salt 75%.
I have been absolutely thrilled with the taste of my water since I had this system installed, but I am most pleased with the taste of coffee made with my water. I have never been able to make coffee this good regardless of brand or quality.
My son is impressed too, and has said that he will install an ECOsmarte system at his house when his softener dies.
Sincerely,

I am writing to let you know how much I love my ECOsmarte system. I have had the system installed for some time now, and find that the water is top quality. Almost as important, is the fact that this ECOsmarte system takes very little time and maintenance. For me this is so important, as I live alone and cannot stand the idea of a system that takes salt. Not only is it not healthy for you, but it would take lifting, lugging and storing of the salt bags.
Once again, the ECOsmarte system is working out great for me. I want to thank you for a wonderful smooth job of installation and all your help.
Sincerely,

We LOVE your water system. To be able to have pure, healthy wonderful fresh tasting water anywhere in the house to drink. And then knowing that the showers and baths are also using this wonderful water! Well it's great! I can hardly wait until Spring to see how happy my gardens and lawns will be not having all those chemicals.
And did I mention not having to schlep plastic jugs??? And not having plastic jugs leaching into the water????
We are happy, happy, happy!

My husband and I want to extend our grateful thanks for your company. We were experiencing so many hassles and health problems with our former water filtering system and know that we were fortunate to spot the advertisement for ECOsmarte in the Yellow Pages.
Previous to ECOsmarte we were using a carbon filter in the basement to filter our house water and a reverse osmosis machine for our drinking water. The reverse osmosis machine took time and lots of water. After a time, the water filtered from the carbon filter and used for bathing was filled with bacteria, and I was experiencing many serious pelvic infections. We had no idea that our carbon filter was not doing its job. We finally traced the cause and started searching for a better way.
Since our new, wonderful system, we are experiencing clear, clean water that is very high energetically. We have sparkling, clean water from the faucet, and clean water for bathing, washing clothes and good water for all of our house plants. All this for a lower cost than many other whole house systems. We're grateful.
Sincerely,

Thank you for your request for information on our ECOsmarte Point-of Entry System.
ECOsmarte Point-of-Entry System has been producing the best tasting, washing and feeling water we have ever been in touch with! We are the envy of our families! In addition to my dry skin going away and my wife's skin getting smoother by the day we can honestly say that our ECOsmarte Point-of-Entry System, which we have coming out of every possible faucet in and outside of the house, has been the best improvement we installed into our new home. Not only do we brag a bit here and there, we'll never have another home without this product. Regardless of the price!
I've been extremely busy with the completion of our new home and regret that it has taken me this long to respond to your offer to receive a free set of replacement copper electrodes. However, we will continue to recommend the ECOsmarte Point-of-Entry System.
Again, thank you for your interest in our opinion of the ECOsmarte Point-of-Entry System.

We wanted to provide you with some feedback since our ECOsmarte Water Purification System was installed in our new home.
We are very satisfied with the quality of the water, even the ice cubes taste better! The installation service was very prompt and professional. We feel we made the right decision in choosing the ECOsmarte System and would recommend this system to anyone considering a new or replacement water purification system.
Thank you again.

I just wanted to take a moment to send you a note of thanks. Since we had the ECOsmarte System installed in our home, we've realized so many benefits that I simply wanted to let you know how really happy we are.
I was a little skeptical in the beginning about the idea that it could actually clean the pipes in the house, but it is absolutely true. One way that I now this, is because we had a steam humidifier in our children's room which after being used for one or two winters, was totally encrusted with a build up of lime and who knows what else. I had tried in the past to clean it with absolutely no luck at all. I even tried using a screwdriver and hammer to chip it off, but got nowhere. It was a quarter of an inch thick and hard as a rock. After the ECOsmarte System was installed and I had used water that had been treated with the system for only 3 nights. I was amazed when I took the humidifier apart to find that the lime build-up was turning brown and falling off! I was convinced.
The fact that my coffee maker is working better than it ever did and cleaning my shower is a breeze are benefits that I truly appreciate, and it is a blessing for me knowing that the water that I and my family are drinking is so crystal clear and clean.
Last, but not least, I take great comfort in knowing that the pipes, as well as the water heater (and all the other water related equipment) in our home will remain like new. I feel wholeheartedly that the ECOsmarte System was well worth the cost.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,

We moved to Arizona from the Seattle area four and one half years ago. In Seattle we were fortunate to have great supply of good water, for drinking and cooking as well as bathing.
Here in Arizona, we soon realized that the local water was very hard and terrible to the taste. We have never liked water softeners, so we installed a reverse osmosis unit in the kitchen for our drinking water. We still had the problem of buildup and mineral deposits in the showers and sinks and the chlorine just about ruined my hair color. My hair was bleaching out to a very brassy blonde on a regular basis.
After some research, we happened upon ECOsmarte. We decided to install a household system (City Water) as well as one for the swimming pool and spa.
We can now actually drink our tap water, the showers and tubs wipe clean without harsh chemicals and my hair retains its color. The water in the pool and spa is much better. Our children noticed right away that their skin doesn't burn or itch from pool chemicals.
We have touted the system to all of our friends. I think the only thing keeping some of them from installing the system is the cost. We, however, think it was well worth the price.

Dear ECOsmarte,
Our home in Georgetown Texas is about a mile from the beautiful Inner Space Caverns. Unfortunately, the same minerals that build the stalactites and stalagmites in the cavern are also in the City of Georgetown water drawn from nearby wells.
When we moved into our new home, we knew we had to do something about the city water. Not only did it test out at over 32 grains of hardness; it was also heavily chlorinated. We looked at a large number of water softener based systems available locally, and were ready to purchase one when I stumbled across a reference to your company on the internet.
I must say that I was skeptical at first After all, if four system did everything you claimed it did, why was everyone puffing water softeners in their homes? But, your science made sense (my wife is an engineer). And I had my brother, who lived in Minneapolis, check our your company to make sure that it was a real' company. Well I ordered the EcoSmarte system and installed it myself.
Four years later and, I am so glad that I did. The water from all the taps in our house is bottled water quality. Every year I pull the copper pipe from the hot water heater to check for mineral buildup. In four years there has been none. We use % of the laundry detergent recommended on the box. Best of all, there the chlorine stench is gone from the shower.
By the way, I still don't understand why so many people are putting water softeners in their homes.
Thanks again,
Carl Burg

We have been living in our new house with our new ECOsmarte water system for 5 months now.
So many people that visit the house ask how our water is...they see the big glass shower doors, the stainless steel in the kitchen, want to know if the water is ok to drink...And I tell them about the ECOsmarte water system we put in.
I tell them I really don't fully understand how the system works, just that I know it works without chemicals or salt and and uses something called ionization to deal with our 18 grain hard White Bear Lake Township Water. A natural, environmentally friendly approach, since we are on the lake. I also let them know how wonderfully it works. I have never had such clean, sparkly dishes out of the dishwasher. Ecosmarte recommended that we not install a stainless steel dishwasher if we were going to use their system. They thought the intense heat from the stainless steel would cause spotting. We went with the Bosch dishwasher with the stainless steel inside and it came with a free supply of Jet Dry, so I tried it. I cant believe how great the dishes look.
Its delicious to drink too! We have a refrigerator with the water and ice from the door and it gets used constantly. I thought water deposits/spots would be a problem in that area because of the stainless and black. The light spotting that happens is more like a fine powder that just wipes off. Cleaning and maintaining is so easy.
After 5 months of living with the system, we couldn't be happier. Thank you for being responsible with our environment, and creating a system that works.
Living with great water without chemicals and salt,

Pool and Home Testimonial!
Last April we met with you to discuss the installation of the chemical free ECOsmarte Water Treatment Systems. The first installation was the swimming pool. The second application was the water system in our home.
We have been amazed at the clarity, taste and smell of the swimming pool. Almost immediately after installation, everyone noticed that the pool smelled fresh and clean. The best example of the quality is our two dogs, who in past years would not go near the pool. After conversion to the ECOsmarte system, the dogs would drink the pool water.. Our guests have commented that the water is soft and crystal clear and they are grateful that we do not use chemicals. I found that the pool required less care and upkeep - maintaining pH levels and cleaning the skimmers.
For many years the house had three recyclable tanks supplied by Culligan. Our well produces very brown water which is caused by the iron content in the soil. Usually, at the end of the ;month we would have a strong odor of sulfur or, more precisely, "rotten eggs." Our showers are white tile with white grout which became a brown color from the iron deposits. Also, the water was very hard and did not provide much lather or softness.
Upon converting to the ECOsmarte system the brown color was gone as was the sulfur odor. The water is soft and has the wonderful smell of a pure artesian well. My wife and daughters have remarked how soft and full-bodied their hair feels with the new system. Our crystal glasses used to become cloudy and dull. Consequently, we had to hand wash them. As you know we do a lot of entertaining and it is not unusual to have fifty to sixty glasses to wash. Now we just put them in the dishwasher and they come out clear and squeaky clean.
I can't begin to tell you the number of compliments we have gotten from family members and guests about the water in the house and pool. As you know, some of our neighbors will be installing the ECOsmarte system in their homes and pools. I am pleased to send you this letter and you have my permission to use its contents in your publications. If anyone would like to call us, please feel free to give them our telephone number.

Max and I want you to know how very pleased we are with our ECOsmarte Water Purification System thus far.
We're pleased with the way the water feels and tastes and the fact that your installer, Art Morales, and you identified and corrected a problem before we were fully aware of the necessity for prompt action.
We feel you made an excellent choice in selecting Art of Ameri-Max (San Diego, CA) as your installer. He is efficient, courteous, and friendly. We plan to use him in the future for other plumbing needs.
